Wrap or no-wrap: Wrappers for external libraries - Daryna Chernysheva, Wix
We always use external dependencies in our tests. It can be done in many ways, like using their API directly, or hiding them behind custom wrappers, or writing helpers. There is no one and the only best solution.
Let's compare these approaches. We will analyse their side effects, talk about preconditions for their usage, and perform some case studies in our favorite format "What Could Possibly Go Wrong".
How to Run Automated Tests in Production without Shooting Yourself in the Foot - Dmytro Aponasenko, Wix
Testing in production is essential if you want to be close to your customers and the production infrastructure is too complicated for replication. Like any big company, Wix has automated testing, and it's running in production as well. In this talk, we will bring out some approaches that help us as a company to execute the automated tests in production safely, will see how the experiments can be tested, what is the test state pattern and much more.
