SSSS - Clifftop Walk -Chidley Reserve to Rocky Bay Garungup Caves return (7.5km)

As part of the Summer Sunday Sunset Series (SSSS) WMA are going to explore the clifftop walk between Chidley Reserve (Mosman Park) through to Rocky Bay. At the end point we can explore the two Garungup Caves and see the Burford Soap Factory Tunnel built by the convicts.
This walk starts at Chidley Reserve and follows the Swan River south to Rocky Bay until we reach the 2 caves (sometimes called the Waugal Caves). We then return on the same track to complete the 7.5km walk just as the sun sets (6:59pm).
We will finish the walk with a picnic, setting up our chairs near the BBQs.

What to bring: BYO: a picnic, cold drink and a thermos of hot coffee. There are BBQs if you want the full gourmet experience.
You will need to pack a chair/picnic rug, mosquito repellent and bathers for the adventurous. Even on a warm night it can get chilly so bring a jumper.
Where to find us: Click on the map to see our exact MeetUp point. We will be leaving promptly.
Parking: Some free parking near the pin drop but more spaces up the hill.
Toilets: There are toilets near our starting point and at Minim Cove Park.
Distance: Approx 7.5km
Difficulty: Mainly bitumen paths. Expect an easy walk but at a reasonable pace (5 to 6 km/h). We should complete the walk in an hour and a half.
