Let's Take a Hike: Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery!
Join us for a scenic walk through the Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery! The property features roughly 4 miles of trails winding around the fish ponds, and our plan is to explore most of them.
We will gather right outside the Visitor Center before heading out. Both the trails and the fish feeding areas are completely free to the public and open year-round.
Highlights of the Hatchery:

• The Show Pond: Catch a glimpse of giant trout, salmon, and lake sturgeon.
• Diverse Scenery: Self-guided, marked nature trails take you through beautiful prairie, wetland, and forest habitats.
• Wildlife & Bird Watching: Excellent opportunities to spot local wildlife, especially during migration seasons.
• Visitor Center Amenities: Enjoy educational facilities complete with live animal exhibits, an exhibit hall, and a gift shop.
