Outdoor Live fusing Jazz Reggae

Ready for local Reggae? This is an OUTDOOR event. Below The Bassline features the music of Jamaican jazz guitarist Ernest Ranglin. Fusing jazz, reggae, and world rhythms this quartet builds deep infectious grooves with a fun and soulful atmosphere. Guitarist Ram Mandelkorn (The Digs), bassist JP Furnas (Dub Kartel), drummer Nik Hope (Empire Strikes Brass), and keyboardist Lenny Pettinelli (Jazz is Phish, Wild Card, VOV) come together to form this powerhouse of Asheville talent. Formed in early 2016, Below The Bassline is a newer group that will excite you with its creative and innovative approach to classic styles.
Whether sitting under the stars or the sunlight, our open-air amphitheater is sure to knock your hops off. With a wooded backdrop and expansive seating area, you can lounge on the lawn while regional musicians take the stage each Saturday and Sunday for free shows. Grab a cold one from the converted milk truck bar or the Back Porch taps for the best rhythm, blues, and brews Western North Carolina offers. Feel free to bring your chair or blanket. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on a leash.
