Tent Camping and Paddle at Lake Jocassee Devils Fork State Park
Details
Join us for a camping trip with Paddle time! Paddle boarding on Lake Jocassee at Devils Fork State Park feels like gliding through a hidden mountain paradise. The water is so remarkably clear that you can often see deep into the lake beneath your board, revealing submerged rock formations and shifting shades of emerald and blue. As you paddle along the quiet coves, the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains rise steeply from the shoreline. Early mornings are especially magical.
We have reservations at the tent camping campgroud, which is a short walk from the parking lot. But this is not the type of campground you can drive your car up to your site. And I am pretty sure we can put in our boards right from the camping area. The cost is $40 total per person (paid to me) but totally worth it because this lake is quiet and unpopulated. Unlike Lake Keowee, which is busy with boats and homes.
Friday night we can informally come together for some social time. Saturday morning we can get out for a paddle after breakfast. And then another paddle in the afternoon and come together for dinner at the campsites Saturday evening.
I will need your payment via Venmo by April 17. Please direct message me for my Venmo. You can call the park for more information 1-866-345-7275.
