Newlands Corner/Chilworth Gunpowder Mills/Chilworth Manor/St. Marthas - 8km/5mi

From Newlands Corner we descend to the valley and walk towards Chilworth passing the Chilworth Heritage site with its old gunpowder mills. We then start the very steep climb via Chilworth Manor to St. Martha's and return via the North Downs to the start. This is not a walk for those who don't like hills! The ascent to St. Martha's is very steep and you may want to bring poles. It will be muddy and slippery in places.
