What we’re about
When was the last time you laughed?
I mean deep belly laughs that caused your cheeks to burn and your stomach muscles to ache.
Laughter Yoga combines yogic deep breathing with laughter exercises. At the Laughter Club you don't need to rely on jokes or comedy. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to laugh.
During this hour of Laughter Yoga, you will elevate your mood, releasing happy hormones into your body. You'll feel a sense of community, reducing the feelings of loneliness and isolation. When you leave, you'll feel calmer due to reduced feelings of anxiety, stress and overwhelm. You'll have increased feelings of self-worth and self-love. You'll boost your immune system and improve your lung health.
The club begins with a brief introduction to laughter yoga and it's benefits. With Katie's instruction you will be guide through different yogic breathing and laughter exercises. The club will finish with a gentle mediation. At the very end there will be an opportunity to share your experience.
