Join Women in DevOps at our free upcoming panel discussion in Central London, where we’ll be joining forces with the incredible team at Houseful to explore the morality of machines in an AI-enabled future.

With the support of our expert panellists, we’ll delve into the most pressing topics facing the world of AI today, including:

  • The Bias Problem – How can we create a space for fairness?

  • Job Displacement – What will tomorrow’s jobs look like?

  • Unintended Consequences – Where are the safeguards?

  • Data Collection: What does this look like in today's context?

  • Decision-Making – Is AI ready to make unsupervised decisions?

Our panel includes:

  • Lauren Langdell - Chair and Founder @ Women in DevOps
  • Dominika Kodadova - Host @ Women in DevOps
  • Violet Snell - Head of Platform AI @ iProov
  • Winna Bridgewater - Principal Engineer @ Syntasso
  • Łukasz Kopeć - Senior Data Scientist @ Houseful

Violet Snell
Violet is currently Head of Platform AI at iProov, leading efforts to build ever more accurate models that distinguish real people from scammer impersonations in online transactions. She has been building image processing algorithms and related software for over three decades. She is a recovering academic, and now directs her teaching skills towards mentoring and coaching her younger colleagues in industry as well as educating broader audiences on the mysteries of AI.

Winna Bridgewater
Winna is a founding principal engineer at Syntasso doing some of everything to help deliver Kratix, an open-source framework for building internal platforms on Kubernetes. Previously, Winna worked in engineering management where she helped teams build platform components for Cloud Foundry and back-office retail tools at the online startup Cazoo. Outside of work, Winna mostly tries to keep up with her two young girls whilst maintaining her sanity.

Łukasz Kopeć
Łukasz works as a Senior Data Scientist at Hometrack, a Houseful company, where he applies Machine Learning to problems of property valuation and risk modelling. In the past, he has applied NLP techniques to improve customer service outcomes at Chase, helped creators monetise at Instagram, trained privacy-preserving Computer Vision models to automate user journeys at Popsa, and led the Data Insights team at BBOXX. Outside of work, Łukasz has mentored LGBT+ youth as part of Out In Tech U, he is part of a choral ensemble, and takes pictures on film.

If you’re hoping to build meaningful new connections and glean expert insight into the trends, challenges, and opportunities inside the AI space, RSVP and save your space today. We’d love to see you there.
