Google Chicago Recognizes International Women's Day

Details
Google is excited to partner with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) (http://societyofwomenengineers.swe.org/) in honor of International Women's Day, a celebration of women's economic, political, and social achievements. This is a special day for Google because of the incredible contributions women have made to technology -- from Ada Lovelace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ada_Lovelace) to Anita Borg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anita_Borg). Our technology gets better when we have a diversity of perspectives, ideas, and cultures included. We strive to create the most inclusive workforce on the planet, and by encouraging our Googlers to be themselves and supporting them in their interests and passions, we’re able to do cool things that matter.
We look forward to welcoming members of the Chicago community to the local Google office to highlight women's achievements in technology. The event will feature a technical panel, followed by networking. Snacks will be provided.
Please RSVP to http://www.eventbrite.com/event/5581560598 , but let us know too so we can arrive as a group!
