The Art of Receiving: On expanding your capacity to let life in โจ
Welcome to the second gathering of The Remembering โ an intimate women's circle in Vienna.
Most of us are very good at giving. We hold things together, we show up for everyone, we carry more than we admit. And somewhere along the way many of us quietly learned that we are worthy because we are useful โ that rest has to be earned, that needing something is a weakness.
Receiving is the harder art.
And it shows up everywhere. In how we deflect a compliment. In what we believe we're allowed to ask for. In our relationship with money, with abundance, with being loved without earning it. In whether we let people help us, or insist we're fine.
What we can receive is limited by our capacity to receive โ and that capacity can be widened. This evening we look honestly at where ours narrowed, what we quietly turn away, and what it might feel like to come into alignment with actually letting life in.
This circle falls on the autumn equinox โ the day light and dark stand in perfect balance. A fitting evening to look at where our own balance has tipped.
Agenda:
- 19:00 โ Arrival, settle in, meet each other
- 19:15 โ Opening grounding practice: breathwork and meditation with music
- 19:45 โ Themed sharing circle: honest facilitated conversation on giving, receiving, and where our capacity narrowed
- 20:15 โ Closing ritual and integration
- 20:20 โ Tea, conversation, and space to process
- 20:30 โ End
What to bring:
- An open heart and willingness to be real
- A journal and pen if you like to write
- A blanket or shawl, if you want to feel cozy
- Water bottle

This circle is donation-based. There will be a basket at the door, and a QR code if you'd rather send something digitally โ if you feel called to contribute towards the cost of the space, it's warmly received. If not, please come anyway. Nobody is turned away.
I'm Petra โ a mentor, healer in training, and facilitator with a background in somatic work, breathwork, energy healing, and nervous system health. I show up not as someone with all the answers, but as someone who knows the terrain and will hold this space with care.
Come as you are. This is your soft place to land. ๐ค
