Women Adoptees Peer Support Group

Come join us! We are a group of women adoptees who understand the complexities that come with being adopted and provide peer support to one another. We meet virtually on Zoom the last Tuesday of the month, 7 PM Central Time.

The purpose of this online gathering is to provide an intentionally safe space that facilitates connection and belonging for adopted women who were adopted transracially, internationally, or grew up in a multicultural family due to adoption.

Please join us for a conversation with Dr. Lisa Astalos Chism, nurse, adoptee, and author of " The Adopted Nurse: A Memoir of Courage, Compassion, and Hope."

Hear her personal story of love, loss, and self-discovery. From growing up with loving adoptive parents to reuniting with her birth father through DNA technology, Dr. Chism shares the emotional highs and devastating lows of her search for identity.

We are an in-person group of women adoptees/adopted people who meet once a month to support one another in the North Austin area. New comers welcome!
