Tea Lovers Unite: Toronto Tea Festival & Eats!

Hey all, let's go check out the 2024 Toronto Tea Festival! We'll go for Caribbean food afterwards (a block away) or to Hemmingway.

Event Overview:
We'll meet at the Toronto Tea Festival (at the Toronto Reference Library) at the benches inside. We'll then head up to the event on the 2nd floor and we can browse around in small groups or on our own. There's many vendors and tea varieties to try! So I blocked off 3hrs so we can have ample time.

After the festival, we'll meet back at the benches downstairs at 4:30pm (for those who wish to go grab a bite to eat afterwards). There's a really great Caribbean restaurant, Randy's nearby, or we can pop over to Hemmingway.

Dinner afterwards is totally optional so if attendees wish to stay at the festival longer, and skip dinner, that's totally fine!

This event is ideal for tea lovers or those who are curious about tea! There's a huge variety of teas (cold, hot, tea wines, tea coolers, etc.) so there's something for everyone! Or, you can find great gifts. As well, this event is great for women who are just looking to get out more, or those new in town, or those are looking to expand their friendship or social circle!

1. The Intention of Event:
Like all events we plan, this social is provides an opportunity and space for women who are genuinely interested in establishing meaningful connections in the city! We ask all who attend to join with an openness to share from a space of abundance and good intentions!

2. Is there a participation fee?
Yes. The fee to secure a spot is $5.

Please note the full or a portion of the fee is generally given back in cash to those who show up. Fees must be received by Jan 26 (by 6pm) for you to get an avail. spot. Spaces are filled in order that fee comes in with a RSVP and priority given to regular attendees.

Once the spots are all taken, I will close the RSVP. Anyone who submits a fee but didn't make the cut off will have the fee returned to them via EFT. Or, you may request to have it credited for an upcoming Dinner & Friends event.

Once the fee is accepted, you'll get a confirmation message you're on the list. Please use the password provided (lowercase) as this helps.

4. Is RSVP Required and is There a Capacity Limit For this Event?
Yes RSVP is required. We'll cap the event at 8-10 people. When capacity is met, the RSVP section closes and wait list starts.

However, a RSVP doesn't ensure members are on the confirmed attendee list. A participation fee is also required.

5. Disclaimer:
While some organizers choose to fund all group costs themselves, our events are community/group funded. As a result, sometimes there will be non-refundable participation fees to help maintain and expand the group!

All our events are intended and curated to help participants have a great time, to build new connections, and to support meaningful relationship building.

Intentional Spaces:
As our group is an intentional space (overall), please note that those who do not answer the membership questions or may misrepresent themselves through the questions won't be approved. As well, they'll also be removed from the group (see our group guidelines for more info on intentional spaces).

8. Refunds:
Unless otherwise specified, participation fees for D&F usually is returned to those who show up (in cash) unless you express interest to donate it to the group. Fees sent via EFTs are only accepted by those who make the attendee list. Fees go back to those who didn't make the list or can be applied to a future dinner. You decide.

Once the fee is accepted, if you need to change your RSVP, do so by the day before the event by (6pm) and update your RSVP to get a full refund.
