Winter Social at The Torpedo Factory

Join Women & Gender eXpansive Coders DC for music, shopping, and socializing at The Torpedo Factory Art Center!

We will gather outside the building along the waterfront. Meet fellow tech women and nonbinary folx as we shop and admire the many talented local artists at the Torpedo Factory. Since Santa is also expected to be there for pictures, we also welcome your supportive significant others and well-behaved kiddos!

Getting there:
The Torpedo Factory Art Center is located along the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront. There is street parking and garages if you wish to drive, but we recommend taking public transportation if you can.
The nearest metro station is the King Street Station. From there, it is a 20 minute walk to the Waterfront or you can take the FREE King Street Trolley which runs every 15 minutes.

This event is primarily intended to create an empowering and supportive space for women and non-binary individuals to find community, learn new technical concepts, and expand their coding and technical skills. We welcome allies, but we ask that you remain mindful of the event's focus in creating an inclusive environment where women and non-binary participants can connect and fully express themselves.
