Learn Creative Coding

Details
Have you ever wondered what kind of creative work you can make with technology? Come join us to learn more about using code as a medium. During the workshop, we will explore livecoding as a form of performance that allows us to improvise with visuals and sound, using the open-source frameworks Hydra and Strudel. Some programming experience is helpful here, but beginners are also welcome. Please bring your own laptop!
Food will be provided thanks to our generous hosts.
About the instructors:
About Sehba: Sehba (she/her) is a creative technologist interested in the free open source software (FOSS), finding liberation in art and education. She gains empowerment from learning how to code and enjoys thinking critically about technology (not a tech bro, not a tech doomer but a secret third thing). She is always interested in finding community, so stay in touch via the interwebs!
About Caroline: Caroline is a visual artist, software developer, and graduate of the University of Maryland’s Immersive Media Design program. She has previously hosted creative tech workshops at UMD and at Rhizome DC. Find her on the Internet at https://caroldinh.github.io/
