Kick-starting the new Women Devs season in November this time! Our guest speakers for the month of November will be Hester van Wijk and Gabrielle Kiley from FRISS company. The focus of their talk will be how we can make resilient products when we implement long term solutions. How you provide to the user the thing they use the most, what they need and where they need it. How instead of patching problems you can emphasise code quality and structural solutions, through collaboration. The talk has an accessible and inclusive structure, so anyone can follow it no matter their background and experience.

Hester van Wijk has always been intrigued by what people do and why. She is passionate about everything UX and has been working in the field for over a decade. Currently Hester works as UX Design Lead at FRISS, establishing the design process and building an inclusive UX department.

Gabrielle Kiley has been a fan of all things tech related since she discovered her parents’ PC at 5 years old. She’s a passionate senior software engineer with over 13 years experience in the software industry, and truly loves all aspects of it. From implementing quality controls and processes in development teams, to embracing architectural difficulties, there is no challenge that doesn’t intrigue her.
