WeWiN Full Moon Circle: Honoring What Creeps Through the Night!
Details
They are all around us. Some we fear. Some we find revolting. Some we find beautiful. Some fly. Some crawl. Some sting. Some bite. All of them play essential rolls in our ecosystem.
I am talking of course about.... BUGS!
This full moon, get in the spooky spirit as we pay homage to these creepy-crawly and underappreciated marvels of our natural world. You are encouraged to bring information, stories, fun facts, and even... REAL BUGS to share with your fellow sisters. We will talk about why we sometimes feel scared of bugs, which bugs are the SCARIEST, and why these creatures are so important to life around us.
We will begin the evening by circling and sharing our weirdest bug knowledge and then enjoy a relaxing night hike around Spyglass trail. Of course, keeping an eye out for any buggy friends along the way!
We will meet at the Spyglass Entrance of the Greenbelt. There is plenty of street parking along Spyglass Drive, and the Spyglass & Barton Skyway bus stop is across the street from the trail head.
We are asking members to leave dogs home for this event.*
Everyone is responsible for taking care of their own physical needs, and we recommend that you bring:
- Bug Facts!! (optional)
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Flashlight
- Yoga mat or towel to sit on
- Weather appropriate layers
- Bug Spray
- Beverage of choice
- Items to charge in the full moon
