Harmony & Heart: A Song Circle for All Voices
Details
Looking for a heart-opening, grounding, and joy-filled way to start your week? Join us for a warm, welcoming community singing experience where every voice belongs—yes, even yours.
What You'll Experience:
- Soothing Vocal Rituals: We’ll gently warm the voice and body with simple breathwork and guided toning to bring you into a state of ease.
- Songs That Bring Us Together: You’ll learn beautiful, meaningful Community Songs—easy-to-learn, harmony-rich pieces designed for groups. No sheet music, no pressure, no performance. Just pure, shared sound. We explore a playful mix of:
- Layer songs with harmonies that build piece by piece
- Rounds that weave us together through rhythm and timing
- Zipper songs where the group co-creates new verses
- Simple verse-chorus songs that let the whole room sing as one
These songs uplift, soothe, ground, and connect. Some are tender. Some are fierce. Some feel like laughter. Some feel like prayer. All of them bring us closer to ourselves—and to each other.
- Connection Through Voice: Expect moments of stillness, play, harmony, and shared resonance. Singing together reduces stress, regulates the nervous system, and cultivates a sense of belonging you can feel in your bones.
Come as you are. Leave with your heart a little fuller.
All voices welcome and celebrated!
No singing experience needed, really!
Just bring your breath, your curiosity, and your beautiful, imperfect human voice.

About Rakefet:
Rakefet Laviolette (pronounced ruh-KEF-et) is dedicated to healing and connection through the power of song. Born in Israel and raised in rural Pennsylvania, her name means cyclamen, a delicate flower that blooms in rocky places—an image that beautifully echoes her journey.
A community song leader, psychotherapist, breast cancer thriver, US Army veteran, bonus-mom, loving wife, and momma to two chihuahuas and a grey tabby cat, Rakefet brings compassion, playfulness, and emotional resonance to every circle she leads.
She believes wholeheartedly in music’s ability to calm the nervous system, open the heart, and nurture empathy and belonging. Guided by Gabrielle Roth’s words, “Your voice takes you to your heart,” Rakefet creates spaces where people feel safe to show up authentically, explore their voice, and discover the joy of singing together.
Learn more about her work at[ www.soothepsychotherapy.com](http://www.soothepsychotherapy.com). Want to go deeper? Join her every Monday night from 5:30–6:30 PM in the Serena Room at Casa de Luz on Toomey Rd. for a drop-in, donation-based community song circle where every voice belongs.
