S.T.A.R. Group (Sexual Trauma & Abuse Recovery) is an evidenced-based FREE support group for survivors of any type of abuse; including childhood trauma, rape, spouse/partner sexual abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, physical and even spiritual abuse. The purpose of the group is to increase understanding of the impact trauma has on the brain, body, spirit, and your relationships with yourself, family, friends, and even God.
We have combined the renowned Seeking Safety curriculum that's been used by THOUSANDS of treatment centers and programs through the world since 1990 with other proven resources, tools and healing modalities into one powerful program that is sure to offer education, support and the tools you need to move forward on your healing journey.
This curriculum is combined with a support group to provide both a learning environment and a support system.
This group does not replace therapy but may be used in conjunction with various therapy modalities. We are happy to make recommendations if participants want them.
