About the Route
This scenic loop combines classic coastal bluff hiking with a bit of inland fire road terrain, giving you varied scenery and great vistas. You’ll start on the Coastal Trail, hiking above the Pacific with dramatic ocean views, then transition onto the Coastal Fire Road, which meanders inland through open hills before reconnecting with the coast for your return. 
What to Expect
• Moderate effort: Some steady climbs and descents, but manageable for most hikers with a reasonable fitness level. 
• Exposure to sun: Very little shade, bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat.
• Can be foggy in the morning and clearer by afternoon.
Tips for the group
• Go early for cooler temps and softer light for photos.
• Wear layers, coastal fog can make the weather change quickly.
• Bring snacks and plenty of water, no shade on the trail.
