Coffee on Friday @ the Magnolia Bakery (Central Park South)

Details
Who is up for coffee on Friday? Let's meet at the Magnolia Bakery South of Central Park at the corner of 58th and Broadway.
Contrary to popular belief (for the newbies to NY), Magnolia Bakery is not owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV fame.
Magnolia Bakery actually started in 1996 at the Bleecker Street location in the West Village. It was a local bakery known for cupcakes and a bunch of other desserts. And then “Sex And The City” mentioned it on one of their episodes and Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) ate one of their vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting. After that happened, it brought an insane amount of crazy lines to the Bleecker Street location and started the whole “cupcake craze”.
Today, Magnolia Bakery can be found in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dubai, Riyadh, Amman, Abu Dhabi, Manila and Doha.
There is lots to choose from - their freshly baked cupcakes, their world famous banana pudding, cookies, brownies, bars, cakes, pies and even muffins and scones. And they will even have a seasonal cupcake available only Monday, August 16 and lasting until Sunday August 22 - the Carrot cupcake. It features freshly grated carrot, coconut, pineapple, raisins and walnuts. It’s finished with cream cheese icing and toasted walnuts.
Join me for coffee and we can decide how many things to try.
