From Model to Decision: Building ML Solutions that actually matter for Orgs
Details
Many machine learning projects look great in development, but quietly fail when it’s time to influence real decisions.
On April 16th, Women in Big Data Northwest Chapter is hosting a session that goes straight into that gap with the Webinar: From Model to Decision: Building Machine Learning Solutions That Actually Change How Organizations Act. In this session, you’ll see a practical, end-to-end case. Not just how to build a model, but how to make it usable, trusted, and relevant in real decision-making.
And then we’ll go a step further.
Why do strong analytics projects still get ignored?
What gets lost between insight and action?
We’ll unpack the human side of data, the organizational friction, and the implementation challenges that don’t show up in notebooks.
This is especially for anyone working in data, or trying to break into it, who has ever wondered:
“Why does good analysis not always lead to better decisions?”
The session will be led by Naveen Gudigantala, Silicon Valley Distinguished Professor at the University of Portland, whose work focuses on how AI actually creates value inside organizations.
If you’re building models, supporting decisions, or transitioning into data, this conversation will feel very real.
