#### Agenda

#### 18:30 - Doors Open

#### 19:00 - Welcome and Introduction

#### 19:15 - Talk 1: (Big) Data Challenges in Finance

Speaker:

  • Philipp Szutta, Head of Frankfurt Data Office & Product Owner, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Frankfurt Branch

Abstract:
The challenges faced by data warehouse architects are just as great: fragmented IT landscapes, increasing regulatory requirements, and, above all, the desire for a successful digital customer experience.
Admittedly, the requirements profile for a well-functioning big data warehouse in the financial industry is large, but not insurmountable. Philipp will delve into strategies to tackle these challenges head-on and highlight the opportunities for innovation in the ever-evolving financial landscape.

#### 19:45 - Talk 2: From Bold to Boring: Why AI Still Can't Do Ethics?

Speakers:

  • Nicole Staub-Demaria, Corporate Counsel, Slalom GmbH
  • Laura Traverso, Principal Data Scientist & AI Consultant, Slalom GmbH

Abstract:
Remember when AI was going to solve all our problems? Well, turns out teaching machines ethics is like trying to explain TikTok to your grandparents—technically possible, but incredibly messy. In this tag-team presentation, Data Scientist Laura Traverso and Corporate Counsel Nicole Staub-Demaria expose the comedy of errors that ensues when AI tries to make ethical decisions. Laura brings the tech perspective, showing why even the smartest algorithms can make ethically questionable choices, while Nicole explains why lawyers lose sleep over these digital dilemmas. Together, they'll share practical ways to keep AI systems on their best behavior—without putting them in timeout.

#### 20:15 - Networking
