Bitcoin and Freedom

Welcome back to our first Women in Bitcoin meet of 2026!

Come and discover how Bitcoin complements political freedom & self reliance. We will dive into examples where Bitcoin was used to liberate women living under oppressive regimes, times Bitcoin has been used to get around political blockades, and other historical and emerging examples of Bitcoin being the ultimate tool of the people.

As always, this will be a small gathering of curious women - some with prior knowledge of Bitcoin, and many without - where we can exchange ideas in a relaxed format.

The goal of this gathering is to introduce more women to Bitcoin in a meaningful way, beyond ‘crypto hype’ and without the pressure of a room full of people who’ve been into Bitcoin for many years.

I started these meets to give women a more comfortable entry to the world of Bitcoin and everything that comes with it. I know how intimidating it can be to walk into a space where you feel like the odd one out, which is why I wanted to create a softer, female-only version of the other Sydney Bitcoin meets. Feel free to come just to listen, or to participate if you are comfortable.
