To celebrate International Women's Day we've gathered together five local blockchain experts to discuss the importance of the roles of women in today's crypto and blockchain ecosystem.
Danielle Marie is a certified blockchain trainer and assessor, crypto enthusiast, and creator of She’s Blockchain Savvy. Danielle is passionate about helping savvy ladies learn about the fun and exciting world of cryptocurrency and blockchain.
Danielle also is the founder of the non-profit association "All Things Blockchain" and Key organizer of Women in Blockchain Queensland and is on a mission to elevate, empower, and educate ladies to be involved in the emerging and disruptive world of digital technology.

Maryna is the Tax Co-Founder @ Kova Tax. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser with extensive experience in accounting, audit, and tax.
Maryna has a passion for cryptocurrency and has been specialising in Crypto Tax for the last four years. Maryna empowers Kova Tax to be Australia's tech-driven accounting firm, building a better digital world for investors, businesses, and SMSFs in the cryptocurrency sector.
With her latest venture, Syla, Maryna is now solving crypto tax for investors and professionals through software and automation. She hopes to inspire more talented women to make the leap into the blockchain world.

Jo is a front-end web/software developer for Brisbane based Blockchain Venture Studio DLTx. At DLTx Jo is involved with the creation of web and blockchain applications, platforms and dApps on the Ethereum blockchain using programs such as React and Solidity.
Jo’s interest in technology and programming began when she started developing her own online teaching resources for her English teaching business. She enjoyed the challenge so much, after having been a teacher for 5 years, she made the jump into web development full time. She is a passionate advocate for the support and development of women in technology and blockchain.

Karen is the Founder and Director of Emerging Tech Talent, a company that helps humans connect to Emerging Technology. She is the Program Manager for AlgoHub, the virtual blockchain developer hub. She is also the 2021 winner of the Lift Off Awards for Diversity and Inclusion Tech Leader.
Karen is the Founder of Women in Emerging Tech as well as a Mentor and Ambassador for Inspiring Rare Birds, a women's entrepreneurial leadership program. She also ran the Prime Minister and Cabinet's Office for Women mentoring program with Inspiring Birds in 2020.

Mariella has a world of experience with her career spanning across Europe, Australia, and the United States. She brings her experience in comprehensive marketing and emerging tech to the Brisbane ecosystem. Her true love for seeing businesses transform through digital led her to create her own growth marketing agency. Since then she's worked with over 90 brands in 8 years and sold out large scale events, luxury cars, wine, beer, festivals, cosmetics and been called to "white label" for global marketing agencies.
In her role as the Chief Marketing Officer of Meadow Labs, she creates, shapes and delivers consumer obsessed, multi-channeled go-to-market strategies to capitalise on the strategic growth opportunities in the meteoric blockchain and NFT realm.
