Background - Women in Blockchain Perth (WIBP)
WIBP is a grassroots cohort of women who meet periodically to activate meaningful connections & partnerships between women to lead in the education, development and promotion of blockchain technologies, and their applications. WIBP has been active in Perth since 2017.

Our values: trust, support, inclusion, conscious leadership and socio-economic advancement for all.

We aim to empower women through blockchain technologies by:
* Bringing together, connecting and promoting all groups that support WIBP;
* Organising and sustaining a community of women dedicated to advancing blockchain, Web3 technologies & FinTech; and
* Creating an atmosphere of collaboration that stimulates and supports innovation and inclusive learning within the space, locally.

Purpose of the International Women's Day (IWD) Event
In the spirit of celebrating International Women's Day, and in conjunction with a nationwide effort to promote Women In Blockchain across Australia, we have curated a lively and informative in-person event that is well worth attending.

We are highlighting the leadership and brilliance of Western Australian women. Therefore, our keynote speaker (Tracey Plowman, co-Founder & COO of getBamboo FinTech app) and the two panels of other local speakers, are co-Founders of WA-based or global blockchain tech businesses, Web3 creatives, industry professionals and/or investors in this space.

The Event Theme: Digital Inclusion.
We will hear about each woman leader's journey into this space. We'll explore sub-themes such as blockchain for good, elevating financial inclusion within the community, empowering Web3 creatives, blockchain education, and supportive environments for female crypto traders.
We promise that the discussions and networking opportunities will be informative and lively! A delightful and pleasant way to celebrate an auspicious day.

We also provide you with a wonderful networking opportunity; to meet people with whom you can further your journey in this space.
