Join Anamaria Todor and Women in Data Science on June 2 for a hands-on workshop where you will learn all about the basics of deep learning and how it can be used.

DESCRIPTION

In this Champagne Coding, we will discuss the basics of deep learning and look at Amazon SageMaker for building end-to-end MLOps pipelines for deep learning models and beyond. We’ll finish off the evening by trying to build our own ML-powered Artist in the Cloud.

17:00 - 17:30 - Welcome & mingling, with dinner
17:30 - 18:30 - Introduction to Amazon SageMaker as a tool for deep learning and beyond
18:30 - 20:00 - Hands-on workshop: SageMaker Feature tour; using SageMaker to create your own ML-powered Artist in the Cloud.

PREREQUISITES

Bring your own laptop and we will provide the rest. Basic knowledge of Python (e.g. know how to write a for loop) and machine learning (e.g. understanding what training means) are recommended but not required.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Anamaria has seen her first computer when she was 4 years old and basically never let computer science, video games, and engineering go ever since. She has worked in various technical roles from freelancer, to full-stack developer, to data engineer, technical lead, and CTO at various companies in Denmark, focusing on the gaming and advertising industries. She has been at AWS for over 2 years, working as a Senior Solutions Architect, focusing mainly on Life Sciences and on AI/ML. Anamaria has a Bachelor Degree in Applied Engineering and Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and over 10 years of AWS experience. When she’s not working or playing video games, she’s coaching girls and female professionals in understanding and finding their path through technology.
