We have partnered with the Financial Times to bring you a panel discussion 'Women in DevOps: Keep your head in the clouds'. The talks will be touching on DevOps, Cloud, Migration and Kubernetes from various different perspectives. We will be announcing the speakers shortly. Jermila Dhas – Senior Engineer

Jermila is a Senior engineer who works in a team who support and maintain AWS infrastructure. In her own words, "I'm also an AWS solutions architect, SysOps and developer associate certified, and a massive AWS fan girl!" Talk title: 'Govern your cloud platform: How to avoid embarrassing security breaches and a bill of millions'

Nayana Shetty
Nayana is the Tech Lead in the Infrastructure Delivery team at the Financial Times. Nayana spends a lot of time working on projects that help Engineers in the FT focus on Developing and Operating systems and services. This includes creating templates to make Linux operating systems safer and easy to use and also building central monitoring tools that teams across FT use to monitor their systems and services. When she's not working you can find her building IoTs, gardening or enjoying Bollywood movies.

Sarah Wells
Sarah Wells is the FT's Technical Director for Operations and Reliability. Sarah has been a developer for 15 years, leading delivery teams across consultancy, financial services and media. Over the last few years she has developed a deep interest in operability, observability and dev ops, which led to her taking over responsibility for Operations and Reliability at the Financial Times.

Susie Coleman
Susie has just joined the GoURMET Project in the BBC News Labs team as a Software developer. The project aims to use and improve neural machine translation for low-resource language pairs and domains and Susie's role is to integrate this translation technology into workflows at the BBC. Prior to that she was a Software Developer at the Guardian on the Editorial Tools Team. Her goal is to produce high quality tools to allow editorial teams to report the news as it happens and use the power of the web to find new ways to tell a story.

Sarah Young
Sarah has pursued challenges across the software spectrum: from frontend web development, Java backend shenanigans, to infrastructure and reliability engineering. At Unruly she helped drive gender diversity in the engineering team, doubling the number of women developers over a year. Sarah also trained in team psychology and conflict resolution and now coaches colleagues on transforming conflict into opportunities for change. She joined Unruly's shared infrastructure team and in less than three months led on work to improve Unruly's legacy infrastructure, from migrating operating systems to sharing infrastructure knowledge with developers. Sarah regularly contributed to Unruly's tech talks and has also spoken at Pivotal, Deloitte Digital, Sky, Extreme Tuesday Club, and Extreme Programmer's London. She's currently taking a sabbatical to learn more about organisational culture and psychology.
