About us
1. Women in Music is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1985 in New York. WIM now encompasses chapters across the country and across the globe - from LA to India to our chapter here in Boston.
We are committed to educating, empowering and advancing women in the music industry. Women in Music believes that the conversation around equality is an inclusive one, where all voices are welcome. Collectively, we are working to make the music industry a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community for all.
2. Our members are a diverse group of women, men and non-binary individuals at all stages in their careers — from students to seasoned industry veterans. We are record label executives, artist managers, songwriters, musicians, attorneys, recording engineers, agents, publicists, studio owners, music publishers, online and traditional marketers, and more. Most of our events are welcome to both members and-non members. Join us!
3. Women in Music hosts educational, career development and networking events alongside broader programming initiatives to serve the needs of our diverse communities around the world. Our panels, seminars, webinars, workshops, performance showcases, achievement awards, leadership summits, and global initiatives serve to educate, empower, and celebrate female contributions to the music world, and strengthen community ties.

Music Industry Speed Networking Night

Local music industry leaders with backgrounds in artist management, music festivals, music venues, and more have volunteered to meet musicians and professionals like you at Brighton Music Hall on May 4.
Music Industry Speed Networking is a FREE evening of shared knowledge and new connections that pairs guests with Boston music industry pros for quick rounds of mentorship.
Here's how it works: guests will sign up for a handful of meetings upon arrival. We'll then escort you to these quick meetings, and in between, you are welcome to network and share you music and skills with other guests! Doors and meeting sign-ups begin at 6:30 p.m., and networking runs from 7-8:30 p.m.As a reminder, this event is free and open to everyone, but RSVP is required!
