The complicated world of Strings in Rust
Rust's string types can feel more complicated compared to other languages, primarily due to Rust's emphasis on memory safety, ownership, and borrowing. This talk will explain the basics of strings in Rust, including how they are represented and why, some common string methods, and other important concepts such as deref coercion. Clear visual diagrams will be used throughout to help illustrate the internal structure of strings and to simplify complex concepts.
