Women in Tech are back with an exciting new Panel Event – “Women Leaders in Tech - Stories and Learnings” on 23rd June 2022. Kindly co-sponsored by Peak 6 Belfast and Urban HQ – who are generously hosting us in their glamourous Ground Floor Lounge.

We are seeing some exciting progression in the area of Women in Tech Leadership roles – according to a recent report by Deloitte (https://www2.deloitte.com/uk/en/insights/industry/technology/women-tech-leadership.html) Women in Tech are starting to crack the industry’s glass ceiling, achieving double-digit gains in leadership roles and roughly one in four leadership positions at large global technology firms are expected to be held by women in 2022.

According to Deloitte’s estimates, women’s share in the overall global tech workforce has increased 6.9% from 2019 to 2022, while their share in technical roles has grown by 11.7%. Notably, the fastest growth—an estimated gain of nearly 20%—has occurred in the proportion of women in leadership.

We are hosting a fantastic Panel of Women Leaders in Tech who will be discussing the successes and challenges facing women progressing into management and leadership roles – with a chance to hear their individual paths – and an open forum to ask questions and gain advice for those working towards progressing into leadership roles.
