A regular in the Women in Tech Belfast Calendar! We have been holding Workshops and Lightning Talks events for many years now, with the aim of encouraging more women to give technical talks. Female speaker representation in tech events and meetups have increased as a result.

We are keen to provide another event that will help female speakers practice their talks - in advance of upcoming 2023 tech events - OR just to give it a whirl anyway!

This year we are holding the event on Thursday 12th October 2023 at 6pm in the PA Consulting Office in Centre House on Chichester Street, Belfast City Centre.

We have some fantastic speakers and talks lined up:

- Namita Kotresh: Navigating Career Transitions: From Engineering to Business Analytics to Data Analytics in the Tech Industry

- Vanessa McIntyre: How Bias in Data Still Exists

- Helen Todd: How My Neurodivergence Helped My HR Career in the Tech Industry

- Jenny Ervine: Exploring Angel Investing with Women in Tech

- Catherine McCourt: Low Code - the Highs & the Lows

- Sarah Lawrence and Jaclyn Harron: Developing a Financial Well-Being Measurement Tool for IPV Survivors

- Julie Cassidy: Retrospection – If You Are Not Doing It, What Are You Doing To Improve Your Ways of Working?

Doors 5.30pm for 6.30pm start. Food and drink (alcoholic and soft drinks, teas and coffees) will be provided. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Children are welcome too!
