WIT are hosting our ever-popular Women in Tech Belfast Lightning Talks event tying in with International Women's Day 2026! Lightning talks are short and punchy at 3 to 5 minutes!
We have been holding Workshops and Lightning Talks events for many years now, with the aim of encouraging more women to give technical talks. Female speaker representation in tech events and meetups have increased as a result.
We are keen to provide another event that will help female speakers practice their talks - in advance of upcoming 2026 tech events.
This may be particularly helpful for women who are giving a talk at the upcoming Women Techmakers event being held on Saturday 7th March 2026 - and we will give preference to those have been selected and who wish to practise a few slides / a condensed version with us first!
Go ahead and apply even if you're not doing WTM - we will try and squeeze as many in as we can.
We are holding the event on Wednesday 4th March 2026 at 6pm, once again kindly hosted by the lovely PA Consulting in their love new office in The Printworks, on Queen Street.

For the WiT Lightning Talks event: Doors 17.30 for 18.00 start. Food and drink (alcoholic and soft drinks, teas and coffees) will be provided. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available.
The Plan for the evening is:
5.30pm – 6.00pm – Food & Drinks, Networking
6-00pm – 8.00pm – Lightning Talks
8.00pm – 9.00pm – Networking
