For this meetup, we're excited to host a talk on something rarely discussed openly: what it actually takes to have influence when you don't have the formal title to back it up.

💡 Our speaker is Agota Riger, a Delivery Transformation Program Manager at GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company. Check out Ago’s overview of the topic she’ll present:

"For the past ten months I've worked closely with a senior executive on organisational transformation. On almost every call, in almost every room, I was the most junior person present, often by three levels or more, and I still had to have a voice, an opinion, and occasionally a disagreement.

When I get asked about how I feel in my role, I always say I am still learning — because I am. I am learning about holding the attention of a room of senior execs. I am learning about enforcing a decision when I have little power of my own. I am learning about walking the line of proximity to power with honesty and integrity. I am learning about ways to push back without burning bridges and without becoming everyone's instrument. And I am learning how to tell someone five levels above me that I have made a mistake — and how I am going to fix it.

This is not a talk about projecting executive presence. It is a dialogue about what I have learned so far, and about what actually carries weight in a room when your title doesn't."
