From Good Girl to Empowered: Letting Go of People-Pleasing to Lead with Confidence
For many of us, being a “good girl” in school shaped how we see ourselves. We were praised for doing well, pleasing teachers and parents - and we carried that drive into our careers.
At first, it worked. Promotions, raises, positive feedback - all signs of success. But over time, that strategy stops delivering. Recognition fades, opportunities pass us by, and we begin to question ourselves. We feel stuck, frustrated, overwhelmed — and unsure how to move forward.
This talk explores the transition from being the “good girl” who strives to please, to becoming a self-led, empowered adult who defines success on her own terms. It’s about rediscovering your voice, regaining clarity, and opening the door to greater impact and fulfilment in your work and life.Talk #2 from Jamila Jamilova & Laura Caicedo, Solutions Architects @ AWS
Details TBC.
This event is organised by Humand Talent, and kindly hosted by the BIPC Oxfordshire.
