## About this event
Talk #1 - Lillie Jamieson - Leaning into difference
In fast-paced, male-dominated tech environments, many autistic and neurominority women survive by masking and hiding their differences which comes at a huge personal and professional cost: burnout, disengagement, and lost talent.
In this keynote, autistic and dyslexic entrepreneur Lillie Jamieson explores how technology is not only reshaping workplace inclusion but is demonstrating that leaning into differences fuels innovation, problem-solving, and leadership. Drawing on her own lived experience as an autistic entrepreneur and her work developing AppAlly, an AI-driven platform for real-time workplace support, Lillie breaks down the neuroscience behind masking and gender bias, and shares the systems and strategies that enable sustainable, authentic success.
Attendees will leave with practical strategies to design systems that work for them, not against them. Including:
- Reframing difference: Why leaning into neurominority thinking can fuel innovation, problem-solving, and leadership.
- Personal story: From employee to entrepreneur, how moving beyond the mask transformed Lillie’s career and impact.
- Barriers and realities: The hidden load of navigating fast-paced, male-dominated environments, and why support systems build resilience
- Systems that work for you: Practical examples of sustainable processes (time-blocking, decision frameworks, delegation, digital tools).

Talk #2: Mariana Morris
Product strategy: Stop building the wrong features (while your competitors build the right ones)
In fast-moving tech teams, it’s easy to confuse output with impact. This talk explores how to avoid wasting time and budget on the wrong features — the ones that look good on a roadmap but deliver little value.
You’ll learn how UX strategy and research help teams uncover what truly matters to users, prioritise effectively, and design features that drive adoption, satisfaction, and competitive advantage.
