Join us for an inspiring evening of insight, conversation, and connection at our July Women in Tech North event.

As with all of our events, this isn’t just for women — we welcome all genders and actively encourage men to be part of the conversation.

You don’t need to be in a technical role or even work in tech to find value here. If you’re interested in people, workplaces, or change, this event is for you. A lot of people attend for the first time alone, alongside our regular members.

What to expect
A thought-provoking talk from Megan Yates (Head of Account Management, Synextra) who will take us through ***“A Decade in Tech” ***reflecting what she has learnt about culture, change, and the opportunities she’s chosen over the past ten years in the industry.

Following Megan, we’ll hear a lightning talk from Will Poole Technical Director at CYFOR Secure, about his experience and reflections on diversity in the Cyber Security Industry.

The second half of our event will be an intimate fireside chat exploring “Stories of Non-Typical Careers.” Izy Jude (Private Secretary, Information Commissioners Office) and Lindsay Kershaw (Head of Software Engineering, L&Q) share honest, personal stories of navigating a career as an introvert and generalist, the journey to an ADHD diagnosis, managing teams while neurodiverse, and supporting neurodiverse colleagues. Expect relatable moments, practical insights, and ask questions in an inclusive environment.

The final part of the event is a chance to network and connect with other attendees whilst enjoying food and drinks kindly provided by our sponsor Kraken.

Whether you're just starting out, shifting paths or have been in the workplace for many years, this event is about connection, community, and celebrating the many ways to thrive in the workplace.
