Getting Started with Audio Interfaces & Your DAW
This workshop explores how an audio interface becomes the creative bridge between your ideas, your hardware, and your DAW. Participants will learn how to connect microphones, instruments, and electronic gear, like synthesizers and drum machines, and bring those sounds into their software for recording, layering, and experimentation.
We’ll walk through simple signal flow, monitoring, and setup so artists can move fluidly between hardware and software without friction. The session also highlights how using an audio interface expands creative possibilities, offering better sound quality, hands-on control, and a more inspiring workflow than relying on a computer’s built-in audio.
Ideal for anyone who wants to build a creative home studio and start shaping their sound with confidence.
