The 17thAvenue BIA turns 41 this year and we are celebrating with a day dedicated to the best of the 1980s.
Crimp your hair. Dress like the Brat Pack. Crank the ghetto blaster…it is time to celebrate the Totally Tubular 80s on July 19.

We’re bringing back the community events you know and love, and this time, we’re mixing things up with something brand new…

Introducing, The Sidewalk Series.

This year, we’re popping up throughout the district withone-hour concertsfeaturing some of Calgary’s top local musical talent. These shows will bring music, energy, and summer magic to the sidewalks of the 17th Avenue district.

I work until about 5:30, so I won’t make it until after 6pm but it should be a fun time! I’m planning on dressing up in an 80s inspired outfit — hope to meet some of you there!

No need to feel shy if you’re coming alone. Most members come alone and leave with new connections!

By joining the Women Late 20’s to 40’s Group and attending events, I, the participant, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event Host, and Women Late 20’s to 40’s Group as a whole, from all liability for or by reason of any damage, loss or injury (including death) to myself or my property which has been or may be sustained as a result of my participation in this event, and notwithstanding that such damage, loss or injury may have been caused solely or partly by the Event Host and Women Late 20’s to 40’s Group’s negligence.
If I consume alcohol prior to attending or at a Meetup event, I understand that I must drink responsibly and must not drink and drive.
