One of our book club regulars, Shevaughn, will be leading this book club discussion! We are so excited! This book is celebrating its 40th anniversary and consistently gets amazing reviews! People call it beautiful, heartbreaking, and satisfying. It's on the longer side, but people consistently say that it's gripping and impossible to put down once you get into it.

Lonesome Dove is a classic Western epic by Larry McMurtry about a cattle drive from Texas to Montana, featuring the adventures of retired Texas Rangers Augustus McCrae and Woodrow Call and an unforgettable cast of characters. The Pulitzer Prize-winning novel captures the authentic and often harsh reality of the American West, exploring themes of love, loss, aging, regret, and the end of an era, all while portraying the vast, untamed landscape with richness and dramatic beauty.

As always, we are certainly not going for perfection here! Even if you don't finish it, you will still be able to participate in the discussion as we always try to make the questions relatable. We always appreciate your attendance and your thoughts - presence over perfection :)
