Walk around Lily Loch at Caldercruix
Details
Something a wee bit different, meeting at Caldercruix train station so those who wish can use public transport, we will then go for around an hours walk, crossing Caldercruix Main Street and crossing over the railway line to Lily Loch.
The walk is around 5km. Part of the walk is a gravel path and the other part can be a bit muddy so please wear boots or shoes with decent grip.
Once back we will stop in at the Village Inn for a coffee/drink before walking back over to the train station.
Assuming the train times don’t change between when I set this up (January) and the event we are working our timing around people being on the train arriving at Caldercruix at 1120 and then getting on the 1350 back towards Livingston.
Note I will be bringing 1 Labrador who will be on a short lead at all times.
This walk is weather dependent: if it is raining it willl be cancelled. It if rains a lot in the run up to the event thus making the walk excessively muddy then I will also cancel it.
Decisions will be taken by 8am on the morning of the walk and posted in the comments below.
£1 meetup fee will be collected on the day.
