Hike/picnic/kayak at Beaver Lake Nature Center, Baldwinsville

Hello friends, Please join me on Sunday, June 21, 2015 for a get-together at Beaver Lake Nature Center. We will meet at 11 am at the center.

There are over 9 miles of maintained walking trails across gentle and varied terrain that we can enjoy. Sunscreen and some type of bug repellent is also encouraged to have.

Those who wish to rent a kayak from the nature center @$10/hr (first come/first server) will enjoy a leisurely paddle across Beaver Lake. Explore the lake’s edge and search for beaver lodges, turtles, herons, and osprey. Rental is on a first-come basis. Since Beaver Lake Nature Center reserves the right to close the lake at any time, especially during hazardous weather, I will call for current information and keep everyone updated. Note: You are not permitted to bring your own kayak on the weekend.

After an hour or so of fun in the sun (hopefully not too hot) we will gather at one of the picnic areas and partake in some light fare which I will bring. Please feel free to bring something to share. If you have special dietary needs please bring what you need.
