Animal lovers and those who never have pet hair on their black clothes. And any other category that isn't represented above. Everyone is welcome.
We hope this group will nurture aquaintanceships that may turn into friendships, common interests that may turn into new social circles, and the idea that sometimes you just might need a little support, fun, and adventure in this fast-paced, exciting, big, vast, amazing, wonderful thing called life.
Everyone who joins will be made an event organizer with the right to create any type of event. There will be no rules as to the type of event because we are all adults. Of course, we ask everyone to respect one another and choose to create events accordingly.
We would like to keep generally taboo topics out of this community like political agendas and Coke vs. Pepsi. But we have created this group to be open and inclusive so you might find others who want to get together to drink only Coke without any purposeful exclusion or offense toward Pepsi drinkers. If you feel that an event is somehow inappropriate, just let the Group Co-Organizers know and our committee of founding members will review it. But be realistic. And please be respectful and kind.
While there may be a small group of founders, this group belongs to the members.

Swede Hollow - Svenska Dalen
"Svenska Dalen" is the Swedish name for Swede Hollow, a historic ravine and neighborhood in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was a settlement area, particularly for Swedish immigrants, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The area is now known as Swede Hollow Park.
More details:- Swedish Name: "Svenska Dalen" translates to "Swedish Valley" in English.
- Location: Swede Hollow is located on the East Side of St. Paul, near Dayton's Bluff and Railroad Island.
- History: The area became a haven for various immigrant groups, including Swedes, Poles and Italians.
- Swede Hollow Park: The ravine itself is now a park enjoyed by many residents and visitors.
- Immigrant Community: It was known for its unique and close-knit immigrant community, though it was also considered a slum area.
- In 1956, the city cleared the area due to health concerns, and it eventually transformed into a public park. Today, Swede Hollow Park offers a serene natural retreat with walking trails, lush greenery, and a glimpse into the city's diverse immigrant past.
We will walk a few blocks then descend into Swede Hollow.
The trails are almost all tar, and you can stay on the tar trail and bypass the dirt section if you wish.
We will stop to read the historical signs throughout the park.
