COED Overnight Backpacking Trip AT Wind Gap to Delaware Water Gap
Details
This is a 15 mile point to point overnight hike on the Appalachian trail, from Wind Gap to Delaware Water Gap (AT miles 1281.9-1297.2). We will camp at mile 1291.2, an overlook view just passed the Kirkridge shelter. The trail will be fairly flat and rocky.
*COED trip means you can bring guests of any gender.
*We will meet at the Mount minsi trailhead parking (where our hike will end), and then shuttle with as few cars as possible to the wind gap parking.
*Please arrive sharply and be ready hop out of your car and go.
*This hike is essentially dry for water sources, so on our shuttles to wind gap we will do a water drop at the parking area before kirkridge shelter (AT mile 1290.4 PA route 191). Feel free to drop anything else there that you might want but don’t want to carry all day.
*All levels welcome, just be able to backpack a 10 mile day and be able to not freeze to death.
*Carry enough water to last 8 miles until the water drop, and leave enough water at water drop to last you overnight and 6 miles out in the morning.
