We are going to host our first ever spring friendship market! The idea is simple: everyone brings something homemade to share, and everything is freely given. No buying or selling—just sharing what we’ve made with friends and enjoying time together.

What to Bring:
You’re welcome to bring anything you’ve created at home, such as fun snacks, crafts, art, plants, baked goods, candles, soaps, sewn/knit goods, or any handmade items you’d like to pass along.

Things to note with what you bring:

  • We plan to have 20 people at the event, so you need to bring enough for the entire group.
  • All items should be individually wrapped/packaged. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it needs to be easy for everyone to take home.
  • Not all people have pets or kids, so we suggest you aim your market item to be adult friendly.
  • We have a handful of members who are vegetarian, gluten free, might have allergies, etc. We are not asking you to limit anything you make, but please make sure you have something with ingredients listed (whether that be with the individual item or on a card that's out for the market).

How the market will work:

  • We will spend the first part of the market decorating tote bags that you can use to bring all of your goodies home!
  • We will set up stations with our items and take turns describing them or giving instructions, etc. in order for everyone to know what they are getting.
  • We will walk around to "shop" our market. Everyone will be able to take home 1 of each item.

Tote bag decorating:

  • Everyone will get to spend the first half of the event decorating their own tote bag to take their goodies home.
  • We are providing tote bags for everyone - no cost.
  • We will have a variety of paint markers and some stencils.
  • Please bring anything additional that you might want to decorate with

Other:

  • Some might go out to eat after. There are a handful of yummy spots close by - Abbott's on Broad Creek, Tacos Chabalita, Smash N Dash, and Delmar Pizza are a few.
