We have been having more people ask about evening walks, so I am going to start posting those more frequently, along with some occasional weekend ones now that the weather is warming up! We will switch up locations for all of the walks. We all know Delaware is very flat, so you don't need to be an experienced hiker/walker. You don't need anything other than comfy shoes and appropriate clothes based on weather.

We will meet at 6:00 and start walking by 6:05 - 6:10. Anyone who is late can just catch up with us on the trail.

Trail: Sea Hawk Trail
This flat trail meanders through a mixed hardwood and conifer forest before ending in a grassy meadow near the Indian River shoreline. Birding and wildlife viewing opportunities exist for nature enthusiasts as they experience the different coastal bay environments along the trail. The trail is just under 1.3 miles, as we usually combine it with another trail to make it a little bit longer. Some of us will often do two loops based on the ease, but anyone is welcome to do whatever they prefer.

We will meet by the picnic area in the main parking lot.

If you do not have an annual pass, there is a $5 fee for Delaware registered vehicles to get into the state park ($10 if out of state). I know some members have a pass already, so don't hesitate to comment about carpooling if you don't.
