What we’re about
This is a non-fiction book club for women who are interested in widening their knowledge and perspectives on sensitive and often ignored topics (among women) through meaningful conversations.
We will be digging into biographies, memoirs, sciences, public health, medicine, psychology, and more.
The aim is to meet with members on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month (2nd and 4th Thursday in a month with 5 weeks) and cover 1 book per month.
I would love to meet in person, but I don't want to restrict participation based on location at this nascent stage of the club.
You can suggest books for the Want to Read section. We will run a poll to select a genre and book each month.
The guideline for joining and participating in the collective is simple: Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
We will be exploring topics that can bring out opposing opinions. The goal is to grow through these differing opinions and widen our perspective on the topic and the world. Be kind and ask questions to understand a viewpoint.
Bullying and hate speech will not be tolerated. They will get you banned.
Please sign up on Bookclubs (link below), where this club is officially managed.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you.

Book Discussion: The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals
Location not specified yetThe Book for December is Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals
Proposed by a member, it felt like a great follow-up to the November read by Bajnamin Lorr. Pollan's book explores the origins of our food choices and the consequences of those choices on ourselves and the environment.
Join the club to discuss the book and share your thoughts. We'll be waiting!
