About us
Welcome to The Noodle Collective.
After struggling to find a non-fiction club for women in my area (South King County, WA), I decided to build the community myself. This is a non-fiction book club for women who are interested in widening their knowledge and perspectives on sensitive and often ignored topics (among women) through meaningful conversations.
We will be exploring biographies, memoirs, sciences, health, nutrition, medicine, psychology, philosophy, and more.
The aim is to meet with members online, on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month (2nd and 4th Thursday in a month with 5 weeks) and cover 1 book per month.
**We are going to try reading 2 books a month to add variety and meet every Thursday, starting in March. You are welcome to join any session that works for you.
We plan to keep the book club small (a maximum of 15 members) to facilitate the growth of genuine relationships. We've noticed that not everyone who joins shows up to the events, so we will routinely remove inactive members to give others a chance to meet and experience this wonderful group of people.
The guideline for joining and participating in the collective is simple: Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
We will explore topics that can elicit opposing opinions. The goal is to grow through these differing opinions and widen our perspective of the topic and the world. Be kind and ask questions to understand a viewpoint.
Bullying and hate speech will not be tolerated. They will get you banned.
Feel free to reach out to me via email with any questions. I look forward to meeting you.
