As an industry, we have handful of proven best practices in software engineering. Now we have cloud and we need key concepts, design principles, and architectural best practices for designing and running our workloads in the cloud.
Let's talk about recommendations and best practices to help architects, developers, administrators, and other cloud practitioners design and operate their cloud systems that's secure, efficient, resilient, high-performing, and cost-effective.

Speaker: Fagani Hajizada

Fagani is a software crafter with years of experience ranging from managing and administering systems in cloud to building and design multi-cloud systems architecture. He gives workshops about cloud computing and speaks at conferences and events around the world.
He is currently working at Graylog as a Technical Lead (Cloud Engineering) for a team that develops and manages Cloud SaaS Platform on AWS.

Talk 2 by AWS User Group Nürnberg: Introducing Pallete by Spectro Cloud (English/German depending on the audience)

Palette ist eine Plattform, die Organisationen und einzelnen Entwickler die komplette Verwaltung von Kubernetes Clustern ermöglicht. Palette unterstützt mehrere Cloud Anbieter, Private IaaS Lösungen wie OpenStack oder VMware sowie Bare Metal mit MaaS. Mit Palette können Teams schnell ihr Produkt entwickeln und die Infrastruktur mit Kubernetes mit minimalem Aufwand komplett automatisieren.
Palette übernimmt nicht nur die Verwaltung von Cloud und Hardware Infrastruktur, sondern auch die Verwaltung des gesamten Applikationsstacks in Kubernetes - von Monitoring, Auditing und Logging bis zum in-house entwickelten Apps. In einer kurzen Demo wird gezeigt, wie man ganz schnell "Production-Ready" Kubernetes Cluster auf mehreren Cloud-Umgebungen provisioniert.
