Details
Each spring, sakura (cherry blossom) season signals a time of hope and renewal for the country. WTA’s restorative week-long tour of central Japan features this flowering phenomenon, while diving into the rich culture and history of this prominent archipelago. Our trip starts as we uncover the layers to Tokyo’s ultra-modern façade through a rich city tour conducted by a local tour guide. In the following days, we’ll slow it down by taking in the natural beauty of Mount Fuji’s Five Lakes region. Then, discover Kyoto – the cultural capital of the country where antiquity begs to be discovered! And then onto Kamakura, the “Kyoto of Eastern Japan” where Buddhist statues, temples and shrines tower above you. Complemented with ample free time to explore Japan on your own, this tour is one you surely won’t want to miss!
