Renee Watson serves as the **Director of the Bexar County Small Business & Entrepreneurship Department (SBED)**, where she leads countywide efforts to expand opportunities for small, minority-, and women-owned businesses. Under her leadership, Bexar County has strengthened its Small, Minority, and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (SMWBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) programs—ensuring equitable access to government contracts and resources.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Renee is a proud advocate for diversity, inclusion, and economic empowerment. She has spent her career breaking barriers, developing innovative programs that help local entrepreneurs build capacity and compete in public and private markets.
Her dedication to service has earned her numerous honors, including induction into the **San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame (2025)**. Renee continues to inspire through her hands-on approach to mentorship, passion for community advancement, and unwavering belief in creating opportunity for all.

**Gloria A. Martinez**
Gloria A. Martinez proudly serves as the **Bexar County District Clerk**, bringing over 35 years of experience in public service. A lifelong San Antonian, Gloria began her career with the District Clerk’s Office in 1985 and rose through the ranks with dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to justice and transparency.
In addition to her work with Bexar County, Gloria is a **United States Navy veteran**, having served in the Navy Reserves with a deployment to Iraq and Kuwait in 2009. Her leadership is grounded in integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of civic duty.
As District Clerk, she has championed modernization, community engagement, and initiatives that strengthen public trust. Gloria’s story is one of perseverance and service — a testament to her belief that true leadership is rooted in humility and hard work.
